Three gate opened in Tenughat Dam, Warning for those living along the Damodar river

Three gates of Dam was opened on Thursday after excessive water accumulation in Tenughat Dam. This gives rise to 4500 cusec water. Along with this, Nodal Officer of flood control Koshang Pankaj Kumar told that a warning has been issued for people living on the banks of Damodar river. Because Dam’s water goes from Damodar river to Panchet Dam.

Rain is continuing in many parts of the state. In the capital Ranchi, the dark clouds, which were dawn from the morning, are raining steadily. Monsoon has been active in Jharkhand in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall recorded in Sikadi (Dumka) is 67.8 millimeters. At the same time, heavy rains have been continuing since morning in Dhanbad and Bokaro.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is strong possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by roaring in almost all the districts. As well as heavy rain in Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur and Sahibganj remains. There is likely to be similar weather for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is possibility of moderate to moderate rainfall with thunders at most places on July 30.
