The priest of Rani Sati Dadi Temple, located at Dumka Road, said on Monday morning that he was sleeping on the door of the temple on Sunday night. At around one o’clock at night, eight thieves broke into the back door and entered the temple. On protesting the thieves, they took the jeweler nude and took away gold, silver and diamond jewellery worth more than Rs. 1 crore on the Sati’s grandmother’s bed.

Thieves tied the hands and feet of the priest. He took them away to a farm and left them. In the morning people of the village of Dhadra opened the ropes of the priest and made them free.
