Sarhul’s procession will not be taken out on 15 April amid growing Corona infection in the state. This will be the second time in 52 years, when Sarhul’s procession will not come out for two consecutive years. This became clear after the decision taken at the Covid-19 task force meeting on Tuesday.
In the meeting, DC Chitra Ranjan said that the state government has not allowed crowded programs and processions to prevent the epidemic. Therefore, it will also be applicable in Ranchi. He directed the Sadar SDO and Bundu SDO to issue orders and inform various committees. Here, Chief Minister Hemant Soren hinted at stopping the procession of Sarhul and Ramnavami festivals in the assembly.
Said that Corona is again taking a macabre form. We celebrate festivals like Sarhul, Dussehra, Ramnavami, Eid. A procession emerges in it. It is advisable to stay away from it for now. At the same time, Section-144 will remain in force in the city from Shab-e-Baaraat and Holi from 6 am on 28 March to 30 March morning. Sadar SDO Sameera has issued the order.
