The good days of Jharkhand’s Jal Sahia are coming. Chief Minister Raghuvar Das announced on Monday that Jal Sahia will be paid Rs.1000 per month from March. This amount will be put directly into their accounts. Apart from this, the incentive money received for each job will also continue.
Chief Minister Raghuvar Das announced this at State Level Jal Sahia Conference organized at Khelgaon, Ranchi. In the conference, Anita Kumari of Chitrapur East of Ramgarh and Namita Kumari of Sarli of Hazaribagh shared her experience. The Chief Minister interacted with the water supporters of Jamshedpur and Dumka online. Jal Sahia of all the districts of the state is connected to this conference.
Minister of Drinking Water Sanitation, Chandra Prakash Chaudhary, Secretary of Drinking Water Sanitation, Aradhana Patnaik, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Government of India, Deputy Director General of Drinking Water Sanitation Hiranya Bora, Engineer Chief Shwetabh Kumar are present. In a short span of time, the foundation of 25 schemes of Rs. 1240 crores was laid. It will benefit 20 lakh people.
13 Jal Sahia sisters were honored for the excellent work at State Level Jal Sahia Sammelan. The Chief Minister announced to all 13 water co-operatives to give 51-51 thousand rupees to his discretionary fund. The Chief Minister congratulated all the Jal Sahia and Rani Mistry for making the Jharkhand open-defecation (ODF) under open hygiene campaign.
