The state government of Jharkhand will develop Sira Sita, Dumri of Gumla, a major religious place of tribal, as a tourist destination. The government has approved Rs 4,21,42,500 (four crore twenty-one lakh forty-two thousand five hundred rupees) to develop this place as a tourist destination. For this, orders have been issued at the departmental level.
The entire area will be developed with the amount of item of Tribal sub-plan. Here the tourism information center will be established along with the infrastructure, road. During the current budget session, MLA Bandhu Tirkey had requested to develop this important religious place in Gumla district in the field of tourism. He had said that the deep faith of the tribals of Chotanagpur is associated with this religious place.
Mr. Tirkey met Chief Minister Hemant Soren with tribal organizations regarding this. He told that Sarna Dharmawalambi comes to visit Sira Sita, Dumri, not only from Jharkhand but also from states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam. It is a gift of the state government to the tribals on the occasion of Sarhul.
