The langur registered its presence near the married women worshiping in the banyan tree located under the Bocho hill of Sadar block under Hazaribagh district. Along with this, the langur ate after asking for prasad from the married women. The villagers were shocked to see this scene. Sometimes the langur appeared on the banyan tree, and sometimes under the tree. Seeing the married women circumambulating the banyan tree, the langur also started circumambulating the banyan tree.
About two dozen langurs have made their home in Bocho hill. Forest worker Ashish Prasad told that this mountain has a favorable environment for the langur. Even the villagers living under the mountain do not tease the langurs. Due to which the langur has made this mountain its home.
The villagers of Bocho told that the langurs living in this mountain do not bother any passer-by yet, but eat other crops including guava, banana, papaya, peas, mango, corn, beans in the garden.
According to the villagers, the langurs watch the activities of the people around. But, no one has been harmed. The villagers also give fruits, roti, soaked gram to the langurs to eat. Now the langur has also started making friendly relations with the people.
Here, with the initiative of DFO Smita Pankaj and the cooperation of the villagers, Bocho hill is green. Due to these reasons now the arrival of wild animals has started.
