According to an ancient belief, Hanuman Ji was born in a cave in Anjan village, about 18 km from Gumla city of Jharkhand. That is why the name of this place is Anjan Dham.

Not only this, due to being the abode of Mother Anjani, this place is also known as “Anjaneya“. For information, let us tell you that there is such a cave in these holy mountains, which is directly related to the Ramayana period. Mother Anjani used to come to this place everyday to worship Lord Shiva and for this reason 360 Shivlings are established here.

According to religious beliefs, Lord Shiva took the incarnation of Hanuman. Very few of us know that Lord Shiva has taken a total of 12 incarnations. One of which is also his incarnation of Hanuman. There is no dearth of devotees of Pawanputra Hanuman Ji not only in the country but also abroad.

Hanuman Ji is worshiped with great reverence on every Tuesday and Saturday. It is also said that the devotees who recite Hanuman Chalisa, Hanuman Ji removes all the troubles in their lives.

After Jharkhand, Kaithal of Haryana is also said to be the birth place of Hanuman Ji. According to different beliefs, the ancient name of Kaithal was Kapithal. It is said in some Puranas that Kaithal is the birth place of the monkey king Hanuman. Hanuman Ji’s father Kesari is also known as Kapiraj because of being the king of Kapi.

An ancient temple of Hanuman Ji is also established in Hampi, Karnataka. According to the scriptures, this area is the ancient city of Kishkindha and its mention is found in Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharit Manas.
